On January 1, 2009 the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition launched as a new force for federal farm and food policy advocacy, arising out of two successful grassroots organizations, the Sustainable Agriculture Coalition (SAC) and the National Campaign for Sustainable Agriculture.  The newly created National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition (NSAC) will build upon the work of SAC and the National Campaign, giving voice to the broad and vital grassroots efforts across the country to bring real change in policies for a more sustainable agriculture.  The timing is right to bring fresh ideas, energy, and enthusiasm to a changed atmosphere in Washington.
